Sick and school tomorrow...not a good combo

Livet leker och jag går o blir sjuk...hur smidigt är det på en skala. Suck!
Kände redan igårkväll på restaurangen hur jag blev jätteförskyld i ena näsborren. Det är ju så dumt att bli tät i båda samtidigt ;-)
Iallafall, stenungsbakad pizza blev det igår och kan meddela att den var riktigt god! Till drack vi ett rött Toscana vin. Därefter bar det av hem till sängen direkt. Jisses vad trött jag vad.
Under dagen hade vi tagit en båttur ut på Lago di Como (Comosjön), där vi hoppade av efter ca 40 min på en "hållplats" och ägnade dagen åt att sola, bada och ha det allmänt gött! Vi blev lite förtvivlade och aningen rädda när vi vid sista doppet uppmärksammade en orm i vattnet. Den var inte så liten heller... Usch vad äckligt det var!


Lago di Como

Idag vaknade jag med en jätteförskylning som slagit sig till ro i kroppen under natten. Unnade mig en liten sovmorgon. Därefter blev det en promenad i La Stada och mötte även upp med Alexandre och Eric som anlänt till Como. Det blev en lättare rundtur i Gamla stan och sen till Elisabeth och Peter. Vi gick tillsammans o mötte upp med Victor och Jesper, även dom Polimistudenter. Det blev lunch på Plazza di Doume och kaffe med glass nere vid sjöpromenaden.

Imorgon börjar italienskakursen...Spännande =) Hade känt mig mer peppad om jag varit frisk som en nötkärna, men sånt är livet ibland!

Life's great and I'm sick...Bad timing! Gah!! Could feel it yesterday at the restaurant how my nose got stuffy.
Anyways, real Italian Pizza with a red wine from Toscany is what I had for dinner yesterday! And it was soooo Good =) Afterwards I went straight home to bed. God I was tired!
During the day we, Elisabeth Peter and I, went for a boat trip on the Como Lake. It was beautiful. We went off after about 40 minutes to go swiming and sunbathing. Had a great time untill we, while heading out for a last swim, saw a snake in the water. We were a bit shaken and hesitated a bit before going in. It was really really disgusting!!

Today I started of with a sleep-in and with a terrible cold. 'Round noon I went for a walk and later met Alex and Eric, who just arrived to Como. After a short walk in the Historical centre of Como I went to Elisabeth and Peter's place and walk down to the lake to meet Victor and Jesper. We went for a lunch at Piazza di Doume and later on had an ice-cream and a coffee by the lake.

Tomorrow my Italian course starts. I'm excited, but would have been more up to it if it wasn't for this cold, but that's life!

Translation of my last post

Finally I'm here! And the flight was good. Overweight was a fact once I got to the airport, but of course: I had to meet the most cranky lady at the check-in.

Once at the Linate Airport in Milan a busride to Milan Central station was waiting. And next time I have to take a photo of the station, it was Beautiful! There I met Peter, also a future student at Polimi, and his girlfriend Elisabeth. Vi had so much trouble finding the right train to Como, 'cause both Peter and I had heard it'd be cheap and take about an hour. Instead we ended up on an express train, which was more expensive but also alot faster. We found ourselfs waiting for the train for 1.5 hours in a very But during our 1.5 hour wait at the central station in a very sultury environment. The overweight kept itself reminded and at the end of the trip vesicles was a fact.

When in Como I thought I had to walk the 1 km distans there was between the station and my future apartment, but surprisingly I was picked up by my landlords. I was soo grateful (with great consideration to my 26kg-lauggage).

After arriving to the apartment I quickly jumped into the shower and headed out to meet up with Aurélia, Flavio, Marion and Julien for some ice-cream by the lake.

Later that day I meet up with Peter and Elisabeth, who was searching for an apartment, and we went for a picnic with salad and red wine by the lake.

Now I'm heading to a beach their landlord (they found a really great apartment not too far from me =) ) recomended!

Ciao from Como!

Nu är jag framme! =) Resan igår gick bra. Övervikt var ett faktum vid incheckningsdisken och givetvis fick jag också den mest buttra och griniga damen i kassorna...

Väl framme på Linate Airport var det buss till centralstationen! Måste ta bild nästa gång för den var väldigt fin! Jag träffade på Peter, som också ska läsa Polimi, och hans flickvän Elisabeth där! Vi hade sådana problem med att hitta rätt tåg. Både Peter och jag hade hört att det skulle finnas ett billigt tåg till Como som tar 1 timme ungefär, men hittade bara ett expresståg som givetvis var mycket dyrare. 1,5 timmars väntetid fick vi i den kvava hettan. Övervikten på väskan gjorde sig ständigt påminnd också. Det var fina blåsor i händerna när jag väl kom till Como!

Efter att först trott att jag skulle vara tvungen att gå 1 km i en stad jag aldrig varit i och inte hade en karta över blev det en glad överraskning då min hyresvärd kom och plockade upp mig och min tunga väska (26kg).

Det var snabbt in i duschen när jag kommit till lägenheten och sedan ut på stan för att möta upp Aurélia, Flavio, Marion och Julien för en glass vid sjön.

På kvällen mötte jag upp med Peter och Elisabeth som letade lägenhet och vi tog oss en picknic vid sjön med sallad och rödvin!

Nu ska vi tre iväg till en strand deras hyresvärd (dom hittade en jättefin lägenhet inte långt från mig i Gamla stan!!) skulle visa =)

Bye bye Sweden, Hello Italy!

Nu åker jag....Enda nervosteten: Klara jag mig från övervikt vid incheckningen???? TVEKSAMT!

Now I'm off...Only worries: Will I pass the overweight at the checkin???? DOUBTFUL!

3 dagar kvar...

Nu är det inte långt kvar. På fredag drar jag!! Wohoo! Ska självklart bli jättekul =)

Om 3.5 timmar går tentan i termodynamik...det är inte lika skoj. Usch, men jag hoppas kunna gräva ner boken efter den är gjord.
Men inget går bättre av att vara negativ: tänk positivt!!
Termodynamik är sjuuukt intressant, tentan kommer gå jättebra! Termo är skoj, tentan kommer gå kanon! Inget att oroa mig över, det är en baggis!

Imorgon blir det:
-klippning
-hemsk korttagning i en sån där lite automat på centralen
-skriva ut flygbiljetten/intagningsbrev och allt annat nödvändigt, som bara tar plats
-växla pengar
-köpa resterande saker inför fredag

7.00 på Fredag lyfter planet. Mellanlandar i Stockholm och åker därefter direkt till Milano! På eftermiddagen ska jag möta upp Aurélia =) Se lite av Como och fixa i lägenheten!

Italien nästa! =) Med ett pitstop i VV-huset först....

Not too long to go! Can't wait! It's gonna be great!

But first off I have an exam in just a few hours. It's not one of my favorite subjucts either. But nothing get's any easier by being a pessimistic...soooo Think Positiv!! Thermodynamics is fun, and interesting. This exam is gonna be a piece of cake. Nothing to worry about! Thermodynamics is great and I'm loving it!
No, didn't help....I HATE Thermodynamics =(

Got a few things on the agenda for tomorrow:
-Hairdresser
-Taking my picture in one of those tiny automats at the central station.
-Print my ticket/letter of acceptance and whatelse that might be of importance
-Exchage money

Already planing for my first day in Como. Meeting up with my landlord and signing for the apartment, meeting Aurélia for a coffe and hopefully I'll have time to see a bit of Como and also do some unpacking ;)

Next stop Italy!! But there's a small pitstop down at the VV-building for the exam first!

Apartment = Check!

I've finally found myself an apartment in Como! I'll upload some photos once I'm settled in two weeks!

One week left at work, then an exam and two days after that I'm OFF!! Wohoo! =D

Packing, Moving, Packing, Moving

I really do HATE all the packing and packing that comes with moving... It's amazing how much stuff I've managed to gather in my apartment in only two years, and yet it's only my personal belongings that's going into boxes...

Since I'm working nightshift tonight it gives me plenty of time to think about what to pack in my ONE suitcase of 20kg I'm allowed to bring. It has to cover 4 seasons...
Knowing myself, I'll just postpone my dilemma till a couple of days before I leave. And since I only have two days between my exam and the take-off, I literally have a couple of days.

I'm still waiting for the owner of the apartment to respond to my email regarding me wanting the apartment! I LOVE it!!!! =) And I really hope it all goes thru.

It is official! I'm going to Como outside Milan for a year of exchange! I recieved my letter of acceptance a few weeks ago and have since then booked my ticket to Milan and started looking for an apartment!

I'm leaving August 27th, which isn't too far off at this point. I've started clearing out my apartment. It amazes me how much stuff one can fit into a 36 sqm-apartment...
I guess I should start thinking about what to bring...20kg...This is gonna be though =S

I might have found an apartment, but we'll see. Nothing is settled yet and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed (and so should you!!!)

Once I get to Como I'll start off with an intensive course for two weeks to try and get a grip when it comes to the italian language. Right now my knowledge goes as far as: Ciao! Mi chiamo Emma.
